The UUC Choir brings a fresh approach to the worship celebration. Our choir is comprised of professional actors and singers as well as congregation members. We perform a wide variety of music including classical hymns, spirituals, contemporary pieces and original compositions. Anyone who wants to lend their voice and talents is welcome to join us Sundays at 9am for choir rehearsal.

Why should you join the choir?

· It's fun
· It's good for your sight-reading skills.
· It keeps your vocal chops in shape.
· You'll make new and lasting friendships
· You can come sing with the choir any Sunday morning, since there is no mid-week rehearsal.

Our Choir Director is the incomparable Thomas Griep, who has worked with such notable names as Carol Channing, Nathan Lane, Cher and Olivia Newton John. For more information on Tom please visit our personnel page. He is joined by a group of excellent singers and musicians, some of whom study at the USC Thornton School of Music (which is housed at UUC). If you have questions or suggestions for our music director please contact him.

Music @ Noon

United University Church (UUC) and the USC School of Music co-sponsor a Wednesday music program called MUSIC AT NOON. The USC Classical Guitar Department (Professor James Smith - Jfsmith@usc.edu) coordinates the program, including scheduling all performers and providing stage management for the concerts. MuNu is a musical forum that provides USC students with additional performance opportunities and allows UUC to enjoy their talents.
