United University Church - Where All Are Welcome!

At UUC, our commitments are summarized in what we call "The Back Page." This is not because we conceal our commitments or consider them unimportant. On the contrary, we call it "The Back Page" because it appears on the back of each Sunday's bulliten and on the backs of many of our church's publications. Our "Back Page" is how we come out about our commitments, beliefs, and identity as a community.

A Neighborhood, University and Community Church: celebrating our rootedness in urban and university neighborhoods—a community of hospitality;

A Peace Church: joining anti-violence work with that for peaceful resolution of difference, toward a vision of global justice;

A More Light and Reconciling Congregation: welcoming seekers of all sexual orientations to full membership and leadership in the church;

A Jubilee Church: working in interfaith coalition for debt relief for the world's poorest nations and a just economy for all;

A Sanctuary Church: participating in the ecumenical movement to be a safe place for those suffering violence and persecution;

An Inclusive Language Church: acknowledging the wholeness of God and the wholeness of humanity;
